The Drinks Business reports that two Burgundy domaines have accounted for more than 60% of the most expensive wines in a newly released top 25 fine wines list, which demonstrates a significant concentration at the summit of the market. According to a recent WineCap report, Domaine Leroy and Domaine d’Auvenay, both owned by Lalou Bize-Leroy, secured a total of 17 spots in the top 25. Together, these two estates make up 64.1% of the ranking’s combined value for 2026, despite a broader market correction following the peak in 2022. The findings suggest that at this exclusive end of the spectrum, price is increasingly driven by extreme scarcity and the extraordinary reputation of a single owner, rather than regional diversity.
