Harpers Wine & Spirit Trade News reports that Champagne brands are outperforming still wine brands in the latest Brand Finance 2026 Alcoholic Drinks report. Moët & Chandon’s brand value increased by 12% to US$2.3 billion, while Veuve Clicquot recorded a 39% rise to US$1.4 billion. Dom Pérignon also advanced by 21%, despite continuing pressure on Champagne shipment volumes. In contrast, several major still wine brands experienced significant declines, including Penfolds, down 32%, and Changyu, down 22%. The findings highlight an increasingly divided global wine market, with established luxury Champagne brands retaining pricing power while many still wine producers face weakening demand and shifting consumer preferences.
