
This website delivers the latest news from across the wine industry, aimed at anyone with a professional or personal interest in wine. It serves a broad readership that includes consumers, public relations professionals, retailers, importers, organisations representing producers and winemakers themselves.
This site developed as an offshoot of the popular winedrinker.co.uk website. While researching stories for that site and personal interest, I regularly review a large number of industry news and releases. The main site focuses on just a few insightful, consumer-focused articles. In the process, I come across many items that are not suitable for that audience, such as trade updates, importer reports, producer insights, or stories with limited relevance to UK consumers but clear value for industry readers. Rather than discard these worthwhile pieces, I created this separate site to give them a proper home.
My ‘filter’ reflects what I personally find interesting. As a result, I tend to exclude product announcements unless they are potentially industry-changing or backed by insightful data. There is also a clear UK bias, as that is where I am based.
Like winedrinker.co.uk, the site is free to access and designed to be straightforward and user-friendly, without advertising, paid promotion or tracking.
