WineBusiness Monthly reports that the use of artificial intelligence by US wineries and vineyards has increased substantially since its comparable 2024 survey, particularly for administration, marketing and communications. In the 2026 survey of 367 industry respondents, nearly two-thirds said they were using ChatGPT or similar tools for written communications and more than 60% were using AI to support marketing, while adoption in vineyard operations, winemaking technology and customer-facing services remained much lower. Only 13% of respondents had a formal AI policy, and the research found that businesses remain cautious about AI’s reliability and measurable benefits, particularly where technology interacts directly with customers or production.
