Young vines are already suffering, growers fear that vines could stop ripening grapes without rain, and the harvest may be among the earliest recorded. These climatic pressures come as Bordeaux also confronts falling consumption, weak exports, oversupply and a fine-wine market that has lost nearly a fifth of its value over five years.
